Who’s DocAtTheBeach?

Jambo, Hola, Hi!  I’m DocAtTheBeach, a frontline physician who has travelled to 140+ countries.  I’m lucky to have such scintillating scenes I’ve seen - so,  the least I can do is share them with you.  Medicine has been a passport (and privilege) that let me go, see, and be in some unreal places with some phenomenal people.

I hope my mashups of medicine, musings, meanderings and micromoments offers you a kaleidoscope through which you can reconnect to the beauty ‘out there’ but equally so, to the gem inside of you.

What’s AtTheBeach For You?

There’s a lot of travel tricks at our fingertips. Now, the top 10 things to eat, drink or do, and much of the logistics, wheres and hows are also (thankfully) pretty simple. To get to the *why* we travel takes a bit more digging and deliberate day dreaming.

Why did I serve with Medicines Sans Frontiers in Congolese refugee camps or fall in love with Senegal? Whether it makes your upcoming travels more multidimensional or you get to experience nifty while being thrifty as an armchair traveler, this is a gentle nudge to ‘dock’ at the beach ~ the literal and figurative place where time and space lets us take that deeper dive.

In travelling to 140+ countries, I hope my lens on life as a frontline doc who’s been blessed with unparalleled moments in medicine, musing and meandering will nudge us all to pause … to ‘dock’ at the beach and, to keep it Real through the surreal.
